Nova Craft Lure 15'7
Many inland fisheries are best accessed from the water, rather than the shoreline. Not everybody wants to sit low down at water-level (such as on a fishing kayak), and not everybody wants to tow a trailer or have an available mooring for a small fishing boat. The Lure 15.7 from the well-regarded canoe manufacturer Nova Craft allows two people to take to the water and access areas that would otherwise be tricky to bank access. The boat itself is constructed from fibreglass, which provides a good combination of strength versus weight. At only 35.8kg means that loading the Lure onto a car roof-rack system at the end of the day entirely achievable between two people.
The Nova Craft Lure 15’7” comes supplied with 2x fitted wood-web seats and has a huge carrying capacity (454kg). It can be paddled like a traditional Canadian canoe when desired, or a small outboard motor can be fitted onto the aluminium transom plate at the stern (Bixby or Minn Kota recommended). The hull shape has a triple keel-line to provide additional strength and rigidity when being used at speed, and the width of the boat provides extremely good primary stability. Nova Craft’s fibreglass cloth and resin infusion system provides a extremely rugged hull, providing durability and strength but keeps the overall weight at a manageable level.
