Thule DockGrip 895
The Thule 895 consists of four adjustable rubber supports that holds closed cockpit kayaks, SUP Boards and Sit on Top kayaks securely onto a car roof-rack system. Not only do the feet provide a more secure load as they hold the boat, they also preserve the hulls integrity. This is achieved by the four points of contact cradling the hull, and prevents it becoming squashed onto horizontal bars when the boat is being tightened into place.
This product is ideal for kayaks with deck fittings or hull shapes that do not lend themselves to be loaded upside down directly on the bars. The 895 Kayak Dock Grip system is also great for transporting SUPS, sailboards and smaller watercraft up to a maximum weight of 40kg, and 90cm wide.
The DockGrip 895 replaces the popular Thule Kayak Carrier 874, and gives more adjustability, to provide a better fit for a wider range of kayak shapes and a larger surface area on the foot-pads to give more security and protection.
The 895 Dock Grip comes supplied with a pair of 4m cam-straps with protective rubber buckle cover, and bow/stern lines.
The 895 water-sport carrier is designed to fit to all Thule bars with the T-Track system (Aero, Wing and Slide Bars). It can also be fitted to standard square profile bars with the addition of the Thule 8897 Square Bar Adapter (available separately).
