NRS Ion PFD

NRS have designed a paddle-sport buoyancy aid that provides unparalleled comfort and flexibility. With a minimalist cut, the Ion cleverly has six panels of ultra-soft foam that comfortably fit around the body yet still gives plenty of buoyancy if the wearer ends up swimming in the water and meets all the CE requirements to achieve this.

Although the Ion PFD is low-cut and lightweight, it still has plenty of useful features such as padded shoulder straps, fleece-lined hand warmer pouch, and a double zipped large front pocket. For additional comfort on warmer days or when training hard, the Ion has raised foam panels on the inside spine area to allow ventilation, known as the NRS Cool Flow System.

We would recommend the Ion for sea kayaking and inland touring where comfort is high on the paddler’s priority list. Or all-round paddlers looking for a minimal, low cut vest for training or easier grade moving rivers.
