Viking Profish 400
Viking kayaks from New Zealand are renowned for their fantastic boat designs, high quality manufacturing and well thought out, practical features. The Profish 400 is a midsized sit on top kayak at 13.5 feet, and incredibly lightweight for a kayak in its class- 27kg's. But due to its width, gives an overall carrying capacity of 175kg's and offers great stability on the water.
The Profish otherwise known as the 400 Lite has plenty of features to maximise time spent out on the water, such as flush mounted rod holders behind the seat to store rods whilst paddling, right the way through to forward hatches, bait board and forward rod mounts. Another really nice feature on this kayak is moulded in, captive brass inserts. These allow a wide array of additional extras to be easily added if the paddler chooses, such as Railblaza Starport fittings or an anchor trolley system.
The central console on the 400 Lite has a removable lid, with space underneath for kit you may want to stow close to hand. And for those wanting to fit a fish finder to their kayak, the Profish 400 offers the option of fitting a removable Tackle Pod (supplied separately) which can be fitted with a fishfinder system, allowing the paddler to remove the pod at the end of the session to make lifting, transporting and storing the kayak simpler.
