RTM Tempo Angler
The Tempo from RTM based on the original Scupper Pro- hugely successful and widely regarded as one of the fastest plastic sit-on-top kayaks on the market. The narrow, touring hull shape and low seating position gives fantastic performance on typical sea conditions that can often be found around the UK.
The RTM Tempo is available in two options- the Standard makes a great sit-on-top touring kayak for those wanting to do longer trips without going down the sit-inside touring kayak route. The large forward hatch allows the user to access inside the hull, with room to load a trolley or carry lightweight overnight camping gear and provisions.
Whereas the RTM Tempo Angler Edition comes supplied with 2x factory fitted flush rod holders and will punch through chop, ride over swell and cut through wind effectively meaning that you can reach those fishing marks that are further afield. The Tempo Angler Spec. is only available in the stealthy Anthracite colour, and at 24kg is relatively straightforward to car-top.
Due to its narrow hull and deep seating position we would recommend the Tempo for smaller to mid-sized paddlers. A slightly wider fishing kayak such as the Viking Kayaks Reload might be worth a look for larger paddlers looking for a fast, ocean going fishing kayak.
