The Palm Kaikoura PFD has been one of the leading buoyancy aids in the UK, designed for paddles that are sea kayaking, touring and or open canoeing. Using a Flex-Fit foam, the Kaikoura hugs around the paddler, ensuring it is well-fitted and none restrictive. It has undergone a refresh and been updated in 2026, to provide the same great overall PFD, but with an updated pocket/storage system and two-tone colourways.

The premium Palm Kaikoura buoyancy aid extensive features, including quick and convenient front zip entry system facilitates effortless donning, whilst the lower waist belt is equipped with a grippy 3D anti ride-up feature to guarantee that the PFD remains securely in place during both paddling and off-water activities. Mid PFD adjustment straps provide a secure fit. The large, easily accessible 'clamshell' pockets on either side at the front ensure that all necessary items are within reach, and contain multiple clip-in points for kit organisation. The two-way zips enable the use of a VHF radio during sea paddles, with the antenna able to protrude through the gap left.
