Palm Riff Rescue

White-Water Safety Buoyancy Aid

The Palm Riff Rescue PFD is a low profile, yet functional buoyancy aid crafted for paddlers, coaches, guides, and rescue professionals seeking the ease of a low-profile vest whilst still retaining ground-breaking rescue features. With its refined ergonomic design and an UCLAN designed quick-release rescue harness, this PFD strikes the perfect balance of mobility, comfort, and safety, perfect for activities such as whitewater kayaking, rafting, safety cover, and swiftwater rescue.

Constructed from durable CORDURA® 500D and 420D ripstop nylon, the Riff Rescue utlises Palm's celebrated Flex Fit wrap-around buoyancy system, which conforms nicely to the paddlers torso, ensuring superior comfort while allowing for free upper body movement. Its slim profile minimizes bulk without compromising buoyancy, making it an excellent choice for long days on the water—whether you're leading a group, coaching, or on rescue duty. The inclusion of Gaia PVC-free flotation foam during the construction, and a ventilated mesh lining adds to the comfort and reduces overall weight.

Central to the Riff Rescue is a 50 mm integrated quick-release chest harness featuring an anodised aluminium O-ring, designed for secure deployment during live bait and tethered rescues. The clean-tail release system effectively manages any excess webbing while ensuring reliable one-handed operation. A specially designed rescue knife pocket allows quick access to a river knife, and the genrous clamshell front pocket includes internal organization and clip-in points for critical rescue kit. Reflective details, reinforced lash points, and Palm's 3D anti ride-up waistbelt guarantee that the PFD stays secure and functional, even in challenging conditions.
