Pelican Explorer 14.6 DLX
Simple to paddle and affordable to purchase, the Explorer from leading manufacturers Pelican is aimed at recreational paddlers. Perfect for day trips, where comfort and ease of use takes priority over load carrying and performance. The Explorer 14.6 comes fitted with 3 bench seats, the middle featuring a cooler box under the hinged lid. The two main paddling positions benefit from folding seat backs. Designed to offer back support and comfort for longer days out on the water.
With a 363kg carrying capacity the Pelican Explorer DLX can easily accommodate a small family looking to get out on the water together or two paddlers tandem with enough kit and provisions for a week's canoe camping trip, such as the Great Glen, or Leeds to Liverpool Canoe Trail.
Manufactured from very strong Thermoformed Ram-X material, the 14.6 is extremely durable and resistant to UV light and wear. The Pelican shells are imported from Canada to Manchester Canoes, where they are outfitted with their seat configurations by our team of highly experienced outfitters.
Suitable for use on a wide variety of water conditions, the Pelican Explorer had a wide, flat hull providing good initial stability and a safe platform for learning the basics and spend time enjoying the water, rather than trying to keep the boat balanced and upright!
Nice features that are also included on the 14.6 as standard (alongside from the folding seat backs) are built in carry handles, drinks holders and 4x fishing rod holders.
