FeelFree Day Tour Paddle
The Day Tour from Feelfree Kayaks is a very popular paddle, designed with modern asymmetrical blades for increased paddling efficiency and reduced torque. These paddles are used by thousands of kayakers across the UK and are popular with both sit on top paddlers and closed cockpit kayakers. Designed with touring in mind (as opposed to white-water) and perfect for use on inland waterways and around the UK’s varied coastline.
The standard model has an Alloy shaft combined with white polypropylene blades. Whereas the deluxe version has a lightweight Fibreglass shaft with yellow polypropylene blades. Both the Alloy and Glass Day Tour Paddles are strong, robust and the Glass version being lighter in weight than the Alloy- an important consideration when spending time out on longer trips. The Fibreglass shaft is also much warmer to hold, and the paddler is less likely to suffer with cold hands than those using Alloy shafted paddles.
The Day Tour paddle is also available as a 2-part split version, ideal for keeping as a spare on the deck of your kayak or just as a more convenient option for transport and storage purposes- a perfect choice for inflatable kayakers. Length wise- the 220cm is the most popular size and would suit most paddlers and kayak types. For junior/shorter paddlers the 215cm should suffice. Feelfree have also taken onboard the growing trend for wider kayaks and raised seating positions such as those found on angling kayaks and now offer the Day Tour in 230/240cm lengths for these paddlers.
