Small and lightweight, the 220 can be stowed on the person in a buoyancy aid or lifejacket pocket within easy reach should it ever be needed. In the event of an emergency a flick of a safety cover and switch communicates with the 406 search and rescue satellite system, alerting the closest rescue services to your location and requirement for urgent assistance.

Treated as a prudent investment, the Fastfind 220 is subscription-free and does not rely on commercial call centres to operate. Once purchased it can be shared between users, meaning it can be taken by different members of the family or group depending on the day's activity. Although it is well suited to kayakers, who should always have a method of calling the emergency services whilst at sea, the FastFind 220 can also be used for inland activities such as mountain walking or fell running.
