Self-Adhesive Canoe and Kayak Keel Protection
Keel East Tape is a 2" self-adhesive strip that is sold by the metre. Can be applied to most rigid canoes, kayaks, small boats and boards. The strip can be cut or shaped with household scissors, and can be shaped/stretched around the recurves of the hulls bow or stern area.
A great choice for those who don't want to add a traditional epoxy skid-plate kit, and not have to work with messy/hazardous materials. Kee Easy is also a lighter option, so works well on composite and thermoformed boats. It is recommended to use a source of heat (eg a heat gun) when applying this strip to help it stretch around the existing hull shape. It can be applied to a variety of materials, including Kevlar, Tuffstuff, Fibreglass, Royalex, ABS, Polyethylene and Thermoformed plastics.
