For existing Vibe Shearwater 125 or Makana 100 users, a great upgrade is the addition of an Impulse Pedal Drive Kit from Vibe. This kit features an efficient propeller that is activated by pedalling, allowing for immediate forward or reverse movement.

The Kit comes supplied with a drive pod designed to replace the Versa Tackle Pod on the Vibe Shearwater 125 and Makana 100 models. The drive system can be adjusted along the pod using the integrated track system, accommodating users of differing leg lengths. Experience hands-free propulsion as you pedal, offering a greater efficiency compared to traditional paddling. Included is a hand steering system with a control line that connects to the existing rudder of the kayak, for total control. The Kit is constructed from corrosion-resistant materials, suitable for both freshwater and saltwater environments, requiring minimal maintenance for long-term usability.

Please be aware-for launching, landing and use in shallow-waters, the Impulse Drive must be lifted from the Drive Pod. The minimum water depth requirement to use the Impulse Drive is 55cm / 22in, so best for use in deeper waters.
