Enigma Kayaks Cruise Angler
The Cruise Angler from Enigma Kayaks is the perfect 9ft, compact fishing kayak, with lots of onboard features. Four flush mounted rod holders, two just behind the seat and two roughly quarter along the deck. There is also a removable, adjustable trolling rod holder which situated in the centre of the kayak between the paddlers knees within easy reach when trolling. Two easy opening hatches offer space to secure small, loose items and a rear tank well providing more space for larger items secured by bungee cords makes for the perfect place to keep a bag or tackle box. The boat also features a paddle park on both left and right sides, which allows you to securely stow your paddles out of the way while you fish.
The hull shape features a strong keel line to help with directional stability and tracking on breezy days. The wide, stable design allows for excellent comfort whilst you fish even for total kayaking novices. Compact fishing kayaks aren't the fastest kayaks in the world, but the Cruise Angler will however still cover short distances comfortably in calm conditions. Many think that 9ft is the ideal length as a compromise between forward speed and manoeuvrability, especially when fishing in-shore or alongside reed beds. Best suited to sheltered locations whether that is your local loch, canal, gently moving river or coastline on calm days.
This kayak weighs in at 22kg making it a comfortable lift for one person, when car topping or carrying down to the water's edge. For longer journeys or across rougher terrain to your launch spot we would recommend an optional kayak trolley to ease your travels. This kayak is manufactured from LDPE plastic, and whilst the best kayaks in the world are made of MDPE or HDPE grade plastics, LDPE offers an excellent alternative at a lower overall cost. A great option for those looking to purchase their first fishing kayak, and enter in the world of kayak angling at an affordable price.
