Solo Inflatable Kayak With Deck Covers

The Gumotex Swing 1 is a lightweight inflatable kayak with a closed cockpit design, more akin to traditional touring kayaks. The closed cockpit allows a drier ride for the paddler, and the tapered ends of the Swing allow it to cut through the water more efficiently than more cumbersome inflatables. Suitable for inland touring, sheltered coastal exploring and gently moving rivers, the Swing 1 proves itself to be a true all-rounder.

Weighing in at less than 12kg’s, the Swing 1 is easy to carry to and from the water’s edge. And also to portage it around canal locks, low bridges or weirs. This kayak also features many desirable attributes, such as a comfortable padded seat, footrests to brace against and a convenient carry-bag for storage and transportation.

To provide the deck area with more rigidity; it has been reinforced with hidden braces. For carrying extra luggage or camping kit, the storage options on the Swing have been well-thought-out. Including zipped access sections in both the bow and stern. There are also deck bungees straps located on the bow and stern for further storage. Front and rear carrying handles allow easy off water handling.

The Swing 1 also comes in a tandem version - the Swing 2, perfect for two paddlers wanting to take to the water together.

New for 2025-

Gumotex have introduced several great upgrades to the Swing 1. These include a new upper-deck layout inspired by the Gumotex Rush series, which allows neoprene decks to be used if desired. The other improvements include waterproof deck zips, hard rigid handles, and a drain opening at the stern (with bung).
