The Werner Paddles Ovation is the development of 50 years of high-end composite paddle research and development, to create an ultralight paddle designed with inland touring and sea kayakers in mind. Best suited for calm conditions and combined with lightweight kayaks, where an overall weight reduction is the most important consideration.

The design and construction of the Ovation has created the optimum paddling low-angle touring paddle from the Werner range. However, this significant weight reduction does come with a reduced overall strength to the paddle. When considering using this paddle, it should be reserved for calm days out and those wanting a more robust, durable paddle for rock-hopping, bigger conditions or the likelihood of rescues should consider the heavier-weight Werner Kalliste as a stronger option.

The smooth back-face on the foam-filled carbon blades allow for a smooth, quiet catch and effortless, confident paddle strokes. Mid-sized blades suit most paddlers, especially on longer journey's, and are best suited for a relaxed paddling style, as opposed to high-angle power strokes. As with all split Werner paddles, the strong spigot that connects the 2 halves of the paddle utilises the Werner Smart View Adjustable ferrule system, that allows the paddles feather to be quickly altered when required. With incredible attention to detail, the Ovation even has specially designed lightweight drop rings to save a few grams of weight, and the Werner Ovation Paddle comes supplied in a embroidered fleece paddle bag to help protect it during transportation.
