Valley Sirona
The Sirona from leading UK composite kayak manufacturers' Valley Sea Kayaks, with their aim is to offer a different style of sea kayak for those whom aren't as interested in longer expedition. Yet still want a top quality boat capable and suitable for ocean play, day paddles and occasional overnighters. Boats around the length of the Sirona are often referred to as “gateway” kayaks to full-on sea kayaks. These slightly shorter boats are considered easier to handle, more manoeuvrable and lighter in weight.
The Sirona composite standard layup is GRP construction for stiffness and enhanced performance, and a reduction in weight (compared to triple layer plastic).The 16ft moderately rockered hull is one of the fastest in its class, with predictable edges and a stable profile that allows all levels of paddlers to get the most out of this kayak. The comparably short boat is far from limited to just days out; it is more than capable of going on to multi day adventures, with plenty of storage and 4x watertight hatches.
While a longer kayak will ultimately have a higher top speed, and a full length traditional style sea kayak will more easily accommodate a heavier payload, the Sirona works within its capabilities. If you are like many paddlers, and your paddling consists of regular social day paddles, maybe the odd overnighter then the Sirona might well be the boat for you.
For those looking for a near identical kayak, but constructed in the much more durable triple-layer polyethylene material- The Valley Sirona RM could be worth looking at.
Valley offers a wide range of custom order options from rudders and compasses to factory fitted bulkhead footrests, bilge pumps or a keel strip. For those looking for the ultimate lightweight day boat, the Sirona is also available in a Carbon/Kevlar construction. As with all Valley composite kayaks, the Sirona is available in a wide range of colours, including different deck, cockpit rim and tape colours.

The Code paddles have an adjustable feather and length using the sturdy central adujster. Available in two lay-ups with either a red glass fibre blade or full carbon blade (both options come on a straight carbon shaft). The blade has a mid-sized blade surface area meaning it is suitable for the majority of kayakers not demanding a large blade for racing or short sprints.

Thule Lockable Roofrack Straps

The Dock grip is a kayak carrier with 4 rubber feet that adjust to offer a great fit on a wider variety of kayaks. As well as providing a more secure load the grippy feet also help to look after your kayaks hull. The 895 water-sport carrier is designed to fit to all Thule bars with the T-Track system (Aero, Wing and Slide Bars). It can also be fitted to standard square profile bars with the addition of the Thule 8897 Square Bar Adapter (available separately).
