Perhaps the ideal kayak for those who are looking for a tandem kayak, with the ability to fit a 3rd central seat that can either be used for a small junior paddler or a taller paddler wanting to paddle the kayak by themselves. The Viking 2 + 1 has been specifically designed to stability and ease of use, so even complete novices should be able to jump straight on board and begin their paddling adventures. The rounded edges are forgiving and mean the kayak doesn't catch easily in rough water, and also enables paddlers who have jumped off to slide back onto the kayak with relative ease! Like all Viking family kayaks the perimeter of the boat has a full deck-line, which as a safety feature gives swimmers/paddlers something to hold onto in choppy conditions, or when climbing back onboard.

For paddlers that like to fish from their kayak when out on the water, the 2+1 is already fitted with 2x rod holders and has Railblaza Starport mounts fitted to the front of the kayak. These Starport mounts allow the huge range of Railblaza accessories to be easily added or removed from the kayak without the need to drill any holes or make any modifications. Accessories that can be added include extra rod holders for the front paddler, camera/go-pro mounts, or drinks holders. Three watertight hatches allow storage inside the kayak and bow/stern carry handles help when it comes to carrying the kayak to the water's edge or loading onto a car roofrack.

In summary, the Viking 2 + 1 is a versatile all-round family kayak that is built to very high standards and has some nice features to increase your enjoyment out on the water. It is also very popular with kayak anglers who like to share the sport with friends and family. Although the kayak can be paddled without adding any seat/backrests (the kayak has moulded seat areas), we would recommend purchasing seats (such as Feelfree Deluxe Seats) to offer a more comfortable ride which equates to more time spent out on the water having fun.
