Dagger Code
With decades of white-water kayak design under their belts, the Dagger Code combines all their knowledge to create a thoroughly modern creek boat and available in two outfitting specifications to suit every budget.
The Dagger Kayaks Code comes in three sizes to suit various weight paddlers (see spec’s), and has been designed to offer reassurance on every grade of white-water. With a plane-ing hull, and strong bow rocker, the Code’s nose rides high over waves and aerated water to give a dry ride and keep its speed through rapids and over strong eddylines. This rocker also promotes the boats ability to ’skip’ out from drops, and keep the paddler away from tow-backs and grabby holes. The hull’s profile also combines crisp rails which allow the paddler to drive the boat and carve through turns making the Code surprisingly manoeuvrable for a boat of its length.
Although the Code is fast, it hasn’t been designed to win down-river races, and due to it being slightly wider than ‘race’ boats, it offers much more stability which most paddlers would benefit from. After paddling the Dagger Code, Manchester Canoes staff described it in one word- predictable. Making it the ideal river-running creek boat for the majority of UK paddlers looking for a boat that is reassuring to paddle, and allow progression on their favourite run, or moving onto the harder grades.
The Dagger Code is available in two outfitting specifications- Action+ or Creek Spec. The Action+ has a paired down outfitting which brings the price down, and also significantly the boats overall weight. The Creek Outfitting is Daggers top-end spec. offering the best safety technology and adjustability and favoured by paddlers looking to take-on the hardest white-water. However, the Creek Spec. Dagger Code does cost more, and does add to the boats weight.
