The Riot Nomad 16.8T is a durable,  tandem touring kayak designed for efficient paddling on flatwater and in calm coastal conditions. Featuring two individual cockpits, it offers both paddlers a more enclosed and protected paddling position than a Sit-on-top kayak. Built from tough, rotomoulded plastic, the Nomad 16.8T is well suited to regular recreational use, while its robust construction also makes it an excellent choice for commercial operators and hire centres.

For paddlers who prefer a more secure, connected feel, the combination of the seating system, padded integral thigh braces around the cockpit rim and adjustable footrests helps create a supportive, locked-in position. Equally, the seating and cockpit design can accommodate those who prefer a more relaxed and less restrictive fit. The Nomad 16.8T offers generous storage options for day trips and longer adventures. A large front storage hatch and an oval rear storage hatch provide space for dry bags, touring essentials and other equipment, with bulkheads behind both hatches adding buoyancy and helping keep stored gear separate from the cockpit areas. Deck bungees and deck lines positioned in front of each paddler provide additional external storage for items that need to remain close at hand. Front and rear toggle carry handles make handling, lifting and loading the kayak more manageable for two people.

 At 16ft 8in long, this kayak delivers efficient performance through the water, making it ideal for longer paddling trips and exploring sheltered coastlines. Its sharp bow cuts cleanly through the water and handles mild chop with ease, whilst the flatter central hull section provides reassuring stability for those less confident paddlers. For added manoeuvrability and directional control, the kayak features a drop-down rudder system that can be deployed or retracted from the rear paddling position. Rear-positioned steering controls work alongside the adjustable footrests, giving the rear paddler greater control and making it easier to maintain course when conditions change. Riot have equipped the Nomad 16.8T with the Flex 4 seating system, designed to provide adjustable support and comfort throughout the day. The backrest offers both height and recline adjustment, allowing paddlers to find a position that best suits their needs. Both the backrest and seat base use Drytech mesh and perforated foam to help water drain away rather than collecting in the seat. This breathable construction also improves airflow, helping to reduce heat build-up and sweating on warmer days.
