Crossover Touring & WW Kayak
The Wave Sport Ethos is a true crossover kayak, and supplied in two sizes to accommodate a wide range of paddlers. Designed as a one boat does it all kayak, taking inspiration from both white-water kayaks and sea/touring kayaks. The Wavesport Ethos features a longer hull than most white-water kayaks, with less rocker allowing it to track better in a straight line on flat water, without spinning round in circles. As on most modern sea kayaks, the Ethos features a rear watertight bulkhead and hatch cover for easy access to kit, and a skeg-system for even better touring performance, especially on breezy days. By simply raising the spring-loaded skeg to reduce the draft and the Ethos excels as a superb easy grade white-water kayak, for tacking small rapids and surf.
With gentle rails running on the underside of the rear section of hull, this boat will carve through turns, and due to its length is much faster than most standard white-water boats. So, whether it’s cruising down your local section of river, exploring the coastline or running rapids, the Ethos has been designed to do it all. The Ethos 9 is suited for smaller to mid-sized paddlers, whereas the Wave Sport Ethos 10 is better sized for larger paddlers, or those with longer legs.
The Ethos Whiteout Spec. is amongst our best-selling closed-cockpit kayaks, and enjoyed by kayakers who want to own one kayak that is general purpose and not suited to any one particular discipline. Perfect for beginners starting out in the sport and intermediate paddlers, wishing to progress their paddling skills on a variety of water conditions.
