The Thule Ocean M features a locking mechanism within the lid, and can be opened from one side of the vehicle that opens from one side. To secure the Ocean M to the existing roof crossbars, the simple, yet secure U Bolt Mounting System is accessed from within the box. Simply position the U-Bolt fitting beneath your roof bar and thread it through the holes in the box, then fasten it with the fixing plate and wing nuts. After securing all four attachment points inside the box, you can load your cargo, close the lid, and lock it, making you ready for your journey.
