It is particularly well-suited for drivers seeking occasional additional storage space during family holidays, or for those with smaller vehicles requiring a smaller, more compact roof box. As an entry-level model, the Ocean S is offered at a competitive price point compared to other Thule roof boxes, achieved by simplifying its key features and attachment points.

The Ocean S Roof Box features a rear opening that facilitates easy access, making the loading and unloading of luggage a straightforward task. Additionally, the box is equipped with a lockable lid, ensuring that the contents remain safe and secure when the box is loaded up. Installing the Thule Ocean S roof box is straightforward; just attach the U-Clamp beneath the vehicles existing roof bars, and then, from inside the box, use the securing wing nuts to secure the box into place. After all four corners of the box are firmly secured, it can be loaded and locked, making it ready for your journey. 

The Ocean S can best be considered as an updated, matte-finish version of the classic Thule Ocean 80 roof Box.
