Meet the staff

Jim

With 30 years of paddling experience behind him. Kayaking has shaped his life, enjoying nothing more than spending time on the water. First starting out using the fibreglass kayak made by his father and progressing through the BCU star awards with the local canoe club.

Whilst at the club Jim gained a strong passion for the sport, gaining experience in slalom, white water, sea kayaking and open boating. During these formative years Jim also worked through coaching qualifications leading to some interesting career opportunities.

From a foundation at club level and a school trip kayaking the classics of the French Alps, Jim has gone onto follow a path of self-support multi-day white water river exploration all over the World. Enjoying nothing more than day, upon day of white water action in unusual places, living out the back of his kayak.
